5. Use an Assortment of Traffic Generation Techniques

6. Find supplemental related products

When you have begun to built a good and reliable income-stream with an individual product, then you should add some new products to your internet site. But you should carefully pick out additional products to put them in the list. Always start with one highly sought after product to gain great results. Focus on this individual product, make your website to display the product and get the email addresses of visitors. Use these email addresses and your website to start a compelling advertisement campaign. Use the techniques to force maximum traffic to your website. When you are getting sales with a single product, add more products and repeat the process.

The fundamental point is to build a process that works and then fine-tune and repeat as you branch out and expand.

3. Create a Web-page to Collect Emails

If you want to build a real, lasting business, making your own web site is important. This website will be where you promote your affiliate products and catch your prospects’ emails to enable you to market directly to your prospects via email.

To do this you will need an auto-responder from Aweber or Get Response.

4. Create an Autoresponder Series

An autoresponder series is a batch of emails which are mailed mechanically to your prospects once you have their email adresses.  These emails must provide useful and sought after information to the reader, whilst also advertising your affiliate products.

Exactly what you write in your messages will depend on what you are selling, but you should think about discussing the issues involved in selecting and purchasing the product and a comparison of different brands.  Consider this – the less you actually try to ‘sell’ and the more that you appear to be volunteering solid, unbiased information, then the more you will actually sell!

It may sound ‘counter-intuitive’, but customers are more likely to purchase from someone they trust than someone who just seems to be out to make a fast buck!

The fundamental key to selling is to create a form of trust between you and the client, so although it may seem counter to your opportunities of making a sale, it is in reality in your best interest just to offer information.  Once trust is built sales will naturally follow.

Getting successful at affiliate marketing is not in truth too challenging, but it does demand hard work.  Things are invariably much simpler when they are broken down into smaller undertakings – so here are the first two, of six, steps that are necessary to begin your personal affiliate business.

1. Choose a Market
